1. INNOVATEHER BUSINESS CHALLENGE
Offered by the Small Business Administration entrepreneurs pitch their ideas to a panel of judges and an audience to competefor up to $70,000 in prize money. Open to both products and services with “measurable impact on the lives of women and families (30%), have the potential for commercialization (40%), and fill a need in the marketplace (30%).”
Annually, FedEx awards 10 small businesses with grants of up to $25,000. It is applicable to any for-profit small business that has been in operation for at least six months.
JP Morgan Chase & Co. awards $150,000 to 20 small businesses each year through its Mission Main Street Grants program. To be eligible, the business should be operational for at least two years and have fewer than 100 employees.
4. EILEEN FISHER WOMEN-OWNED BUSINESS GRANT
The Eileen Fisher Women-Owned Business Grant is for operational businesses looking to expand. The grant supports innovative concepts, and their potential for positive social and environmental impact.
This small grant is just the jumpstart you need! Each month a business owner is awarded $500 to to do with as they please. They also offer personal mentoring and/or an Angel Investor.
